Texas D9 Softball Team Crushes Asia-Pacific Champs

In a softball showdown, the Southwest Texas D9 softball team, led by Journee White, proved to be an unstoppable force as they crushed the Asia-Pacific Regional Champions from the Philippines in a mercy-rule victory. The game showcased D9’s explosive offense and dominant pitching, leaving the audience in awe.
From the first inning, Texas D9 displayed their offensive muscle, with Journee White scoring the first run on an infield hit by Miah Corona, who was later driven in by Jayden Sadler’s powerful homerun to left field. The Asia-Pacific team struggled to find answers and failed to generate any offense throughout the game.
The second inning saw Texas D9’s offensive onslaught continue, as Ka’Sara Brooks, Lindsay Talafuse, Ky-Li Alonzo, Journee White, Alinah Vidaurri, and Miah Corona crossed the plate, amassing six more runs to extend their lead to 9-0. In the third inning, Journee White added another run off Miah Corona’s bat, further solidifying D9’s commanding lead.
As the game progressed, Texas D9 showcased their depth and skill, leaving no room for the Asia-Pacific team to catch up. In the top of the fourth inning, D9 opened the floodgates, adding eight more runs to their tally. Despite Asia-Pacific scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth, the game ended via the mercy rule with a final score of 18-2 in favor of Texas D9.
The Texas D9 offense proved to be a relentless force, with multiple players delivering exceptional performances. Journee White went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs, Miah Corona went 3-3 with 2 RBIs, Brittany Morgan contributed 1 for 1 with 2 RBIs, Jayden Sadler had a standout 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs, and Yasmine Traore, Diana Salomen, and Allison Schauer also added to the offensive onslaught.
On the defensive side, Allison Schauer pitched a dominant 4 innings, allowing only three hits and two runs while striking out four batters. This display of talent and depth in both pitching and batting is a testament to D9’s powerhouse status.
The Texas D9 team’s remarkable consistency and might were evident in their recent games as well, having scored 34 runs, given up only 4 runs, and hitting 6 homers in their last three outings. Their collective batting average of 373 and minimal 16 strikeouts in 95 plate appearances further demonstrate their offensive might.
