Texas summer lives up to the heat as do the young men from the rural Centex Little League. The original game Friday, against China Spring , was put on hold due to inclement weather in the bottom of the first inning with Centex All-Stars up 8-0.
In the continuation Sunday, the Centex All-Stars picked up exactly where they left off scoring run after run on offense and not giving anything away on defense in a rout that ended 22-0.
Cam Everleigh took the W on the mound while maintaining a 0.0 ERA and striking out 4 batters.
Tywon Walker, Ryder Castro, and Sean Benavides all shined at the plate going 2 for 2.
Tywon Walker, Gavan Brummet, Ryder Castro, and Frankie Gonzales, all batted in two runs a piece. Ty Dawson, Tre Castillo and Sean Benavides had one RBI a piece.
The Centex All-Stars look to keep the momentum on Tuesday June 20th, when they will face the fierce Robinson All-Stars at 5:30 PM.
