Ladies and Gentlemen, where do you start? These young men from Centex Little League are Fire on Offense and Cold as Ice on Defense for the junior division.
They took on the Juniors from Robinson Little League last night and just completely owned the field.
Do we talk about the Two Home Runs hit by Tre Castillo and Frankie Gonzales? Do we talk about the fact that 81% of the lineup batted over 500. (Which led to 16 hits and 19 runs)
How about Pitching? Ryder Castro Pitched 2 innings and threw 22 pitches with 16 strikes and gave up 0 hits. He also fanned 4 batters out of the 6 he faced. He was replaced by Gavin Brummett who gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and had a pair of strikeouts. The game was closed by Ty Dawson in the last inning when he stuck out the last two batters. The final score of 19-2 proves that this team has game and they are not afraid to show it.
The Centex Juniors play today at 8pm against the Lakeview Juniors.
If these young men keep playing this way, they will find themselves traversing well outside their home 254 Area Code.
