Texas D-9 All-Stars Dominate Kirbyville All-Stars with a Commanding 13-1 Victory

ALEXANDRIA, La.
In a thrilling match-up between the Texas D-9 All-Stars and the Kirbyille All-Stars, the D-9 team displayed an extraordinary performance, claiming a resounding 13-1 victory. From start to finish, the D-9 Allstars showcased their exceptional skills on the field, leaving the crowd in awe of their dominant display leaving no question why they are the defending World Champions.
The early inning saw both teams trying to find their footing, resulting in a scoreless first . However, the D-9 All-stars quickly changed the momentum in the top of the second inning. Ka’Sara Brooks stepped up to the plate with Miah Corona on base in scoring position. She wasted no time and delivered a well-executed sacrifice fly, sending the ball deep into the outfield, allowing Corona to dash home and score the first run of the game.
The D-9 Allstars’ offense didn’t stop there. Yasmine Traore followed with an incredible double to left field, driving in Jayden Sadler from second base. Brittany Morgan then stepped up and continued the hitting spree with a powerful double to left field, bringing Traore across the plate and extending the lead to 3-0.
Allison Schauer added to the onslaught with a sharply hit single to center field, allowing Morgan to score, increasing the lead to 4-0.
The D-9 All-Stars maintained their momentum in the top of the fourth inning. Ka’Sara Brooks, who had already proven to be a formidable force, crushed a monstrous shot off the center field wall, ending up with an impressive triple. Yasmine Traore, true to her form, stepped up and smacked a long ball over the center field wall, bringing Brooks home and stretching the lead to 5-0.
Lindsay Talafuse continued the hitting barrage with a double to right field, driving in Schauer, adding another run to the D-9 All-Stars tally. Christi McGuire then stepped up and delivered a timely single, allowing Talafuse to score, further solidifying the D-9 All-Stars dominance at 7-0.
The onslaught didn’t stop there. Miah Corona followed suit with a double to right field, driving in McGuire, and shortly after, Jayden Sadler delivered a crucial single, scoring Corona, extending the lead to a commanding 9-0.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Kirbyville All-Stars managed to get on the board with one run, but it wasn’t enough to slow down the relentless defending World Champions.
In the top of the fifth inning, the D-9 All-Stars continued their offensive display. Yasmine Traore showcased her speed as she scored on an errant throw, increasing the lead to 10-1. With bases loaded, Miah Carona took one for the team and was hit by a pitch, resulting in Allison Schauer scoring. Jayden Sadler received a walk, adding another run as Lindsay Talafuse crossed the plate. Lakota Westfall then drew a walk, driving in Carona, and the D-9 Allstars’ lead soared to an incredible 13-1.
On the defensive end, Christi McGuire took charge as the starting pitcher, delivering an impressive four innings, allowing only 3 hits and a single run. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Allison Schauer took the mound in relief and closed out the game with an impeccable performance, conceding zero hits and runs.
With an outstanding offensive and defensive display, the Texas D-9 All-Stars left no doubt about their dominance, securing a resounding 13-1 victory over the Kirbyville All-Stars. Their relentless hitting and flawless pitching propelled them to a memorable triumph, and the D-9 Al-Stars celebrated their hard-earned victory with pride and determination.
