Central Texas Senior D9 Softball Looks to Represent the 254 in Little League State Tournament
ABILENE Tx.
Today kicks off the state Little League Softball Tournament in Abilene Texas. The winner will move on to represent the region in Louisiana later this month with hopes of going all the way to the World Championship in Delaware.
Coach Chance Bacon has fielded a local team of mostly small town ballers to represent and hopefully repeat the District 9’s World Championship run of 2019.
With only two players on the team from schools bigger than 5a (Midway in Waco), the rest of the team comes from 3a or smaller schools with players from Academy, Cameron, Chilton,Lorena, Rogers, Rosebud-Lott, and Troy.
Though these schools are smaller, almost every player has played for select teams and have trained with some of the best coaches and trainers in the industry. Below is a list of players and school districts which they are associated with.
#1 Journee White (Academy)
#2 Shyann Mondragon (Lorena)
#3 Azura Bacon (Chilton)
#4 Ava Hrabal (Rosebud-Lott)
#6 Kiara Walker (Rosebud-Lott)
