Southwest (Texas D9) Outfield Unstoppable While Offense Turns On Late For the Win Against Delaware District 3 in Senior League Softball World Series Pool Play
Izzy Garcia from Troy Texas started in the circle for Texas D9 All-Stars against the Delaware D3 from Frankford.

If you don’t believe there are angels in the outfield, I suggest you go watch last nights game between the Southwest (Texas D9 All-Stars) and the Delaware District 3 (Frankford) on ESPN+.
It started out in the top of the first when Lily Hoban of Delaware smashed a hard ground ball to Ava Hrabal in left field with runner Kinsley Hall at second. Hall tried to test the arm on Hrable(Rosebud) by trying to advance home on the play, but that did not age well. (see video here) Ava H. (Rosebud) fielded the ball and launched it home to catcher Jayden Sadler who made a textbook play at the plate for the out.
The defense was stingy in the first two innings and no runs crossed the plate for either side.
In the top of the third, Delaware District 3 posted three runs on two hits before D9’s Izzy Garcia (Troy) got her footing in the pitchers circle and recorded her first strikeout of the day. Lindsay Talafuse (Cameron) also played a significant role in center field for D9 recording the third out on a deep hard-hit warning track ball that required her to jump-dive to catch. This catch stranded 2 runners on base and ended Delawares scoring drive.
In the bottom of the 3rd the Texas D9 answered after Ava Hrabal (Rosbud) stole third and was driven home by Journee White (Academy), making the score 3-1.
In the 4th inning Delaware went scoreless and Texas D9 added a run when Lindsay Talafuse (Cameron) singled and drove in Kaidence Quinn (Academy) making the score 3-2.
For the rest of the game Delaware was unable to get anything else started on offense and that is when the D9 bats went to work.
In the bottom of the fifth D9 scored 6 runs to go ahead and seal the win.
In the bottom of the seventh, it was all Journee White, who recorded all three outs to end the game with the score 8-3 in favor of Texas D9 All-Stars.
We also have to point out that Right Fielder Lauren Harris flashed her speed on multiple occasions in the outfield (diving for fly balls). Miss Harris was very effective on the base path with her speed as well.
